It’s no secret to all of us now, that life has changed. We don’t know how 2022 will go, but one thing’s for sure, it won’t be a return to the normal of 2019 that everyone’s been wishing would happen. Experts are now saying that households need to learn how to shift their buying habits to account for things such as supply chain and distribution hassles, bare shelves at their usual store, products they usually buy not always on the shelf, or the manufacturer just plain choosing not to make it for awhile. The linked article here is saying in surface-level tidbits, what I’ve learned how to live as I raised two kids on a single income in a two-income town. The advice given here is really good, but it can be a challenge to figure it out for your particular circumstances. If you’d like help assessing your shopping habits and making adjustments, shifts, etc, drop me a message! There are several ways you can take advantage of the lessons God taught me when my kids were growing up.
Going from least to most expensive:
A) The Poor Man’s Budget: A 5 Week Course – Learning to Live Within Your Means. There is an Instructor’s Manual with explanations around each new concept and the worksheets that go with it. There is a Student Workbook with just the worksheets, and there is a 3 month journal that helps you organize either the past 3 month’s spending, or the next three month’s spending. While this is designed for a classroom setting, it can be done alone if desired. The links to purchase any or all of the books in this course are:

B) Arrange for a phone trip where you take me a long as your personal shopper guide, assisting you in making the best decisions for your regular grocery shopping that take into account your budgetary needs, health needs, availability of goods in your area, etc. We will have a brief call before the shopping trip, and then the shopping call. If you have a data plan with your phone or tablet, it can even be a video call where you can show me the rack and I can help you out visually as well as verbally. Cost is $49.97 per trip. Drop me a line to request this service. (the graphic needs an update! I’m not on FB anymore. . . oops)

C) Grab 9 or more of your friends and family, and register to take this course together online. The cost is $5 per day, plus the Student Workbook. If you want to pay up front, the total registration fee is $125.Â

D) The last option, that is more personal than the classroom but just as hands on, is one or all of my coaching offerings: Taming the Clock, Taming the Coin, and Taming the Cupboard. These are packages giving you access to coaching as well as various worksheets you can do with your family between sessions. This option is listed last as it is the most expensive. It is projected that each of these coaching modules will pay you back within several months of going through the program. If you’d like coaching in more than one module, we will take our first session together ascertaining which module to go with first and which modules to follow it with. Do note that as your coach, I am not the one doing the work, you as the client are the one doing the work. I’m coaching you through it, asking questions, and helping you see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Life has changed over the past 2 years, and it will be wise to take stock of your current financial situation so you know what you can and can’t do, where to do it (if the store choices need to change), and how best to go about it in a way that fits your household.
