Well, Pondo and Rosa, our two tiny mascots this season, were seen in two different locations at our craft fair booths this weekend.
We are having some very good conversations with people, and the occasional amazing plug for the locally-foraged teas that we sell. A lady came by who had bought some tea from us last spring while her daughter was battling cancer, and gave the teas to her daughter. Her daughter is now cancer-free, and drank our teas throughout her treatment ordeal. The mother actually told another customer right in front of us today, “I’m not saying the teas dealt with the cancer, but they helped”. It is now well-known that many foods, including red meat, have anti-cancer properties, some so powerful they can be drunk as a mere tea and do a better job than some medications out there! I wrote about this in my “3 drugs that break the bank” series. So to hear this feedback at a craft fair was amazing!
I ran into a few fellow believers who agree that a Biblical understanding of practical uses of God’s creation out in the wild is necessary and needed in today’s world, as it may be what we have to turn to in the future. To that note, our household and others are turning to it now, nevermind in the future!
Selling wildcrafted teas is always an exercise in education for many who are completely unaware of what God has growing out there and how they can use it for health and nutrition. Sales were good this weekend! We have three more craft fairs before Christmas, and I am pencilling in dates in 2025 already, with a wellness fair in April already spoken for with a deposit on our booth. Other spring dates are being pencilled in as well between Kelowna and Vernon.
