2025 Spring Foraging VS Spring Craft and Wellness Fairs!

2025 Spring Foraging VS Spring Craft and Wellness Fairs!

We have Impact! Or is that Lift-off?!! The Great Collision has occurred and Ashley felt I should be alerting you to the potential fall-out.

You see. . .

It’s the beginning of April, and plants are growing again, some more quickly than others, but growing just the same.  Spring markets are also happening, with two big ones on our doorstep!

We will be at the Spring Shoparama event under Ashley’s Ashtree Wildcrafting banner this weekend in Vernon at the Vernon Rec Centre on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday is from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday is from 10am to 5pm.

We will then be at the Vernon Wellness Fair under my banner the following weekend, 10-5pm on the Saturday and 10-4pm on the Sunday.

These two fairs come on the heels of a prior Christmas craft fair season so successful, that our involvement with the Rutland Flea Market has caused us to run out of a few wild herbs!  This means that until the plants required to make those particular teas grow to harvestable size, some of our regular tea lineup may run out.

However, all is not lost.  We have been brainstorming limited-run teas from ingredients we either have lots of still, or that pull from ingredients we don’t get as much of.  These teas will as a result, cost more than our usual tea offerings, but for those who buy purpose-based blends, we hope to have teas that offer similar benefits if not for a few dollars more.

Being as we are dependent on how herbs grow in the wild, we begin this year’s market season very much on the premise of “While Supplies Last”!  We aren’t saying this to create a rush on our stocks, but we are saying this to alert you to the fact that if you want a particular tea and we happen to have run out, it will become available again once we have been able to harvest it’s ingredients, dried them, and blended them.  We are brainstorming ways to hopefully gather a larger harvest this year and efficiently dry, crush, store, and blend, but we have limitations for various reasons, some of which are out of our control.

We were thrilled to have doubled our 2023 sales in 2024, and we are already looking at increased sales so far for 2025 and the foraging season is only just beginning.

So bear with us this spring.  If you are the adventurous type, you may find new blends and new flavours on our table over the next few fairs.  We will have our regular teas in stock as long as we can, and then as soon as we can once ingredient bins are replenished.
